We've recently started playing with Desktop Workflow as part of a larger project. In the process we have put together "Before and After" videos of some of our scenarios and have decided to share the fun.
This particular scenario is for a "Cold Call" wherein a salesperson would create an opportunity from their contact with the customer, complete a "Contact" task and set a due date on the next "Contact" task.
This is the before Desktop Workflow vid.
Notice it takes about a minute and involves multiple screens, clicks, etc.
This is after Desktop Workflow.
Notice that this scenerio now takes 20-30 seconds less with a lot less user intervention. On a side note, I've made some tweaks to this particular flow since the video was uploaded making it a touch faster and less "blinky".
This particular scenerio/flow I put together after playing with Desktop Workflow for maybe a day, which makes it a relatively simple but powerful tool and I personally can't wait to really start pushing the limits of what it can do. If you are on the fence about getting Desktop Workflow, I hope this little demo helps with your decision.
