When you create a custom object, and it is linked to either another custom object or a RN object, you are able to add the custom object view to the parent object's workspace. Within this view, is there a way to remove the open of "Add Existing" under the add button, so that only "Add New" is available.
I want to be able to remove this "Add Existing" option as quite often we create new custom objects as a linking table between two tables so this "Add Existing" confuses people as they presume this is in relation to the parent table.
An example is we have created a custom object to store workshops conducted. As contacts can attend multiple workshops, and each workshop can have multiple attendees, we also created another custom object called sessions to link a contact to a specific workshop. Doing it this way also gave us the ability to specify whether the specific contact attended a specific workshop.
A session view was added to the contact workspace to show their attendance of all workshops. In this example we don't ever want the ability to use the same record twice, so "Add Existing" is redundant.
Does anyone have any ideas if it is possible to remove this icon? I have tried looking in the settings in the report to try to remove this option like many of the buttons available but could not find anything that remove just the "Add Existing" rather than removing the "Add" functionality completely.
Kind Regards
