Add second contact to an incident, hide thread to first contact (1 Comment)

Does any ingenious developer out there have a possible solution to hiding the incident thread to the original contact when adding a second contact and sending a response to that second contact? I know an email can be sent to the second contact but the client prefers that communication be committed on the incident thread. Oracle recommends that the incident be copied without the thread, then add a new contact and link the incidents. Client does not like this solution.
