Workflow/scripting: How do I "close" a script when it's done?

EDIT: I think I figured it out... I had to have flows down the path of all decision points accounted for. There's definitely a learning curve here!

Hi all,

We just got scripting/workflow and I'm trying it out.  But I keep getting stuck with a script that won't "go away" when I'm done with it. I've tried rules in the script and in the workflow around finishing the script, exiting the script, and also doing a "return" (which apparently is a return to parent workflow, but I just can't figure out how to make it go away.) I've tried making new branches in the script to follow the yes/no paths and still I can't get it to work.

What I'm trying to do:

--A workflow where after the entry point it loads a new workspace. It then fires script XYZ that asks one simple yes/no question. If the agent clicks yes, then the script "goes away", and a rule sets certain fields in that new workspace, and the agent continues on in the workspace. If no, then the script should still "go away", but the workspace then fires a new sub-worfklow that has a contact lookup field, and the agent can do that and continue on in the workspace.

It seems pretty straightforward, but I just can't seem to get the script to "go away" when it's done. I want it to be gone, leaving the now-updated new workspace. But it remains there, taunting me. Thumbing its nose at me. Mocking me. Any pointers? (Or perhaps a better way to do what I'm trying to do?)
